Worldwide Education Service Inspection Report

The Regent's School, Pattaya, has entered the second five-year accreditation cycle with Worldwide Education Service (WES). Following a full inspection in November 2007, The Regent's School, Pattaya was successfully re-accredited. Below is the overall evaluation as printed in the report.

Overall Evaluation

This is a good school with many strong features. Students thrive in response to the rich variety of learning experiences. Standards are good because the teaching is effective and students work hard. An excellent ethos underpins school life. Relationships are outstanding and students behave very well. They benefit from a wealth of extra activities. The headteacher plays a pivotal role in moving the school forward and is very well supported by the senior staff. There is a strong sense of purpose across the whole school and a shared determination to build on existing strengths and tackle any areas of relative weakness.

The school's main strengths are:

  • The headteacher provides very strong leadership.
  • The school has made good progress since the appointment of senior managers, reflecting their commitment to improvement.
  • Most students are achieving at or above the expected levels for their age.
  • Students' personal development is very good and is enhanced by an excellent range of extra-curricular activities.
  • The overall quality of teaching throughout the school is good.
  • Good provision in the Foundation Stage enables children to make rapid progress in their social and language development.
  • Relationships are outstanding and students are cared for well.
