From the Principal
The Regent's School, Pattaya, was founded in 1995 by Dr. Virachai Techavijit. It has grown steadily to a current student population of about 1000, including approximately 160 boarders. We have 43 nationalities in the school, of whom about 26% are Thai and 20% are British. We value both our host Thai culture and the other cultures of our staff and students, building respect and understanding between them.
All our teaching staff are qualified teachers, mainly from the UK. However, most people agree that the best thing about our school is the students. New staff always comment on the excellent student-staff relations as well as the vitality and positive outlook of the student body.

Part of this student empowerment comes from our membership of the Round Square organisation. This underpins our holistic philosophy of education based on the IDEALS of Internationalism, Democracy, Environmental awareness, Leadership and Service. More details of how this philosophy is put into practice can be found on this website.
Academically, we follow the English National Curriculum. In Years 10 and 11, our students study (I)GCSE courses before moving on to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Years 12 and 13. The vast majority of our leavers gain admission to the university of their choice; recent offers have come from such universities as Oxford, Cambridge, MIT, Stanford and Princeton.
